This is the famous/infamous “pay now, pay later” debate, so named for Dr. Stravinskas’ response to a question regarding a passage from Tobit. This debate drifts off of Purgatory to the underlying issue of authority and Rome’s claim to it. This 3-DVD set contains a very eye-opening dialogue highlighting the difference between the biblical gospel and Rome’s gospel of self-righteousness.

“Well said and well done my brother. Thank you for sharing the truth.” – Comment from YouTube

Seeking to restore a right view of God’s sovereignty to the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ, the web-series Against the World, is extremely popular with 80,000+ views. We are convinced that true reformation and spiritual awakening will not come until the Church acknowledges that God is the author and finisher not only of our faith, but of history and we hope to stand contra mundum (Against the World) while spreading this message. With 45 episodes, Season 1 of Against the World is a must have for your library.

The Protestant Reformers insisted that the Bible alone was the Word of God and the final authority in all matters of life and faith. The Roman Catholic religion said, yes, the Bible is the Word of God, but, God also speaks through the Pope who holds the authority of the Apostle Peter given to him by Christ in Matthew Sixteen. So, did Christ give Peter the authority the Papacy claims? Was Peter the “rock” spoken of by Christ?

The claims of the Roman Pontiff to this point caused the men who authored the Westminster Confession of Faith to respond with these words in chapter 25:6, “There is no other head of the Church but the Lord Jesus Christ. Nor can the Pope of Rome, in any sense, be head thereof; but is that Antichrist, that man of sin, and son of perdition, that exalts himself, in the Church, against Christ and all that is called God.”

In this formal debate, Roman Catholic apologist Mitchell Pacwa and Reformed scholar James R. White discuss the issue of the Papacy and authority. Over the next few hours you will not only enjoy the spirit of the discussion, but will find a plethora of information relating to Biblical exegesis and church history which will enable you to better defend your position (especially if you are Reformed).

Born in Florence, Italy, Dante first saw Beatrice in 1274 when he was nine years old, and she became the inspiration for his later poetic works. Her death in 1290 was a profound shock to Dante. He was a soldier for a while and entered politics where he sided with the enemies of Pope Boniface VIII. He was eventually banished from Florence. His best known work is the perennial classic, The Divine Comedy — the poet’s imaginary journey to hell and purgatory.
