Early in the twentieth century, the tares of theological liberal compromise were being sown in the field of the Bible-believing evangelical church. By the 1960s theological liberalism seemed poised to engulf much of historic Protestantism – especially affecting (or perhaps better stated infecting) historic Presbyterianism.

But a few of the faithful, men like J. Gresham Machen, Carl McIntire and Ian Paisley sent forth a battle cry “WE WILL NOT SURRENDER!” Finally, many said, God has risen up men of iron who fear the LORD and not the enemy. These men took a vocal and visible stand for the purity of the Gospel and the cause of Christ.

Borrowing from the works of Martin Luther as he stood before the Diet of Worms, Here I Stand is documentary about the battle which waged between theological liberals and those who held to the infallibility and inerrancy of the Bible.
